Omega Sports Partners With New Balance To Help Locals Stay Active and Move More In November
GREENSBORO, NC , November 03, 2020 – North Carolina’s own, Omega Sports Inc. is proud to partner with global athletic leader, New Balance for a month-long initiative called, MOVE MOREVEMBER–encouraging locals to be more active through November with fitness and giving.
Customers can expect movement-oriented virtual and in-store activities starting Saturday, November 7, 2020 and every weekend in November. New Balance Trackster, Kate Freiheit and Run Specialty Manager, John Greer have worked with Omega Sports’ marketing leadership to create a series of videos, special podcasts, virtual shoe demos, quizzes and amazing giveaways.
“We want to help our customers stay active heading into the holidays and also move more to help neighbors in need,” says Omega Sports CEO, Craig Carlock. “If we can motivate people to run, walk or exercise more – and at the same time, help those in need – we see that as a MEGA WIN/WIN.”
Along with interactive activities, customers will be asked to help support their local food banks. Customers can participate at any Omega Sports neighborhood sports store- spanning from Wilmington and Raleigh to multiple stores in the Triad and Charlotte. Donation boxes, virtual giving and special collection events will be available.
According to Second Harvest Food Bank NW North Carolina, 1 in 5 adults in Northwest North Carolina is food insecure and 1 in 4 children don’t get enough food to thrive. Hunger is a symptom of economic uncertainty. The COVID-19 pandemic has only worsened matters.
Omega Sports wants to help and will be donating a portion of New Balance sales in November to local food banks to help fight hunger in our communities.
