What is Move Morevember?
Omega Sports and global athletic leader, New Balance have teamed up to encourage locals to be more active throughout November through fitness and giving.
“We want to help our customers stay active heading into the holidays and also move more to help neighbors in need,” says Omega Sports CEO, Craig Carlock. “If we can motivate people to run, walk or exercise more – and at the same time, help those in need – we see that as a MEGA WIN/WIN.”
According to Second Harvest Food Bank NW North Carolina, 1 in 5 adults in Northwest North Carolina is food insecure and 1 in 4 children don’t get enough food to thrive. Hunger is a symptom of economic uncertainty. The COVID-19 pandemic has only worsened matters.
Omega Sports wants to help and will be donating a portion of New Balance sales in November to local food banks to help fight hunger in our communities.
On Saturday, Nov. 14 and Sunday, Nov. 15, 2020, Santa will host Omega Sports’ inaugural Off The Roof – 24-Hour Food Bank Marathon. He will be getting geared-up and ready to move more, run and collect food and donations for local area food banks
